Biography

Paolo Manalo (He/him) is a Filipino-Canadian Multidisciplinary creative based in Toronto, Ontario. Paolo started off as a hip-hop street dancer but has expanded his craft to videography, film, photography, and media arts. Inspired by YouTube vlogs, talent/game shows, and comedy/action movies, Paolo aspires to create his own show and production company. Deciding to take the risk and pursue his childhood dream career in Media and Film even without formal training, Paolo became one of the 2019 cohorts of POV Media Training Program. During this time, Paolo was able to learn media foundation basics, and work on several film sets to grow as an aspiring director and director. Eventually, Paolo won a team commercial challenge for Ozery Bakery and landed an office PA internship at Revolver Films up until March 2020. Paolo has also achieved on winning an entrepreneurial pitch competition for his media production company, Paolo Manalo Productions to earn BITS Sparkfund in Summer 2021. Furthermore, in 2022, Paolo graduated from ArtWorksTO's Next Stream Program with collaboration from OCAD and the Remix Project, and also graduated from Springboard's Learn2Earn Digital Media Program this summer.  Whether it is dance, acting, hosting shows, or creating content, Paolo is constantly honing his crafts and always strives to learn new things to keep creating and collaborating whenever he goes.
